Course Stuff for Gauging is mixed in the ratio of 6:1, sand to lime using our standard Lime Putty slaked at our works. This mix is for gauging with hydraulic lines or gypsum plasters.

In areas where there is considerable moisture or where early protection from frost may be needed.

Matures with age and as long as it is kept in a sealed container or bags there is no upper time limit.

The success of lime based mortars or plasters depends greatly on the tradesman being familiar with them and understanding how gauging with different products can change their performance. Careful control of drying and protection from frost and excessive heat is very important.
